Slideshow of modeling photos
Now I already know that this will be one of my blog entries with the most hits. For some reason people love to watch other people do stupid stuff. I admit this is not one of the smarter things I do BUT it certainly gets me some interesting photos. There is an abandoned building I have been dying to get into to get images. Problem is that it is very large. it is a building with a lot of doors but they are sealed. Well today I headed over and I did find away in.
This is actually a series of buildings intertwined and connected in various ways. I imagined they just knocked out part of a wall and continued building as needed. I only found 1 way in. The problem is once inside it turns into a maze. I wanted to keep going but no one knew I was there and I was nervous about getting lost. Normally I don’t worry about getting lost, but when entering an abandoned building you get a rush of adrenaline. That rush doesn’t stop until you leave. So there is adrenaline mixed with fear, remember abandoned usually also means condemned. One wrong step and you could end up in the basement. Also remember I am there with an expensive camera and these places also draw desperate people as well as criminal activity. Not to mention someone sees you and calls the cops.
I would love to take a model in there but that gets even trickier.I would ask permission but I am sure they will say no, besides it is always better to ask forgiveness than permission in these situations. So have a look at part 2.

Recently I did an engagement shoot for Megan and Chris. Megan and Chris are getting married on November 4th and wanted some engagement shoots done so they could have “save the dates” made. We went to Lock Ridge Park in Alburtis PA and did a great tour of the grounds.
Lock Ridge Park is and old furnace that an area was partially restored and preserved fora museum, however; the grounds are the real star. Old ruins perfect for a photo shoot. The ruins are concrete and stone. I had another opportunity to shoot there 2 years ago however; it poured down rain and all we could do was shoot the wedding formals under a pavilion. I know it will not take me another 2 years to get back there now that I have seen what it has to offer.
Take a look at some of the photos we created.

The Bride’s shoes are trending right now. Many brides are opting for colored shoes an it is really trendy and fun for the photos. The shoes were always so forgotten on the wedding day. They use to be the color of the dress and now the vibrancy of color is hidden beneath the dress and it gives a little surprise to the photos. It helps draw the eye around the picture.
But with that, composition is key. It is so important now to have the knowledge of art and composition. You cannot fake it, you have to know ate rules of artful, pleasing composition.
