ABSOLUTELY! I carry 2 cameras, 2 Flashes, 6 Lenses. Not only that but my primary camera records onto 2 separate memory cards. That means that if one card becomes corrupted, your files are still safe on the second. I also keep extra equipment and props close by just in case I need them.
Being asked to be someone’s Wedding Photographer is first and foremost the highest honor anyone can ask of me. It is telling me that the trust you give is the highest caliper. The ONLY other higher trust I can think of is the trust you give of watching your child. These moments are some of the most precious moments of your life to remember forever. The photos must not only capture images of you and your loved ones but also must tell the story and show the feeling without any words. I take on this huge responsibility with the pride of a lion and the stealth of a ninja. I present final images of how you want to remember the day and how you would tell the story in your own words. I know of very few higher honors than to be invited in to the inner folds of a wedding day.
I have a blend of styles I use at varying times of the day. The day is generally very relaxed with the exception of the large formal portraits. The getting ready shots are photojournalistic, then posed and creative once ready. The ceremony is photojournalistic. The formal photos are posed, artistic and creative. The reception is mostly photojournalistic with some minor posing in between.
Aside from all that is directional. Throughout the day I will be asking your input and adjust accordingly. You want more posing? OK. You just want to have fun and not know I’m there. That’s fine to. Just communicate your desires and I will accommodate. I take direction from you and give you the perfect day.

The short answer is maybe. Most of our brides elect to purchase the personal use licensing and receive a disk of digital files. But we also offer collection without any digital files and we offer packages with some. It all goes back to customizing a package that suits your needs and budget.
The perception clients have that it will be less expensive to get the files and take them to the local photo shop. The difference is that these files are corrected to the photographers lab. Local photo shops will make changes to the file which will change the look of the photo. The photo will look better coming from the photographer.
Teaser photos will be uploaded to Facebook with in 24 hours, your personal gallery will house all of your photos and will be available within 14 days of the wedding. In many cases it has been sooner.
Usually the day after your wedding some teaser shots will be placed on theG&K Photography page on Facebook. You can feel free to tag yourself, Family and Friends in these photos. These photos will have logo at the bottom of the picture. You may also use them as profile pictures. There is no charge for this however we ask you to include our logo in your profile picture crop. You may use these on other social media sites as well but please have G&K Photography listed either on the photo or in the title. If you elect to purchase personal use rights, you may post them with out the copyright line but we would appreciate you putting our name in the caption so word of mouth may travel.
This only applies if you did not option to get the personal usage rights for that photo. We are allowing you to have these free as a form of advertising for our business. If someone looking at your pictures likes the pictures they can see where you got them. This is free advertising for us. Please respect our wishes so we are willing to continue offering this benefit.
I don’t know. There are many factors that influence the amount of pictures I take. I have taken as little as 375 for a small wedding to 3000 for a large wedding. These photos are then scrutinized and reviewed. When we photograph large groups we take many shots to be sure we got the best photo. We may take 10-20 of a large group then remove the photos with people that have eyes closed etc. Occasionally pictures are taken with the wrong camera settings or the flash was not ready to fire. These pictures are removed as well. My Primary camera also has the capability of taking 20 pictures in about 2.5 seconds. This feature is a large bonus during garter and bouquet tosses as well as other events that may happen during the event.
